Data Deletion Request

From version 1.9.0 onwards, the Sanatan Sangam app requires no account and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, phone number, email address or date of birth. If you used an earlier version, see the section below.

What we store

When you first open the app, your device generates a random identifier (a Device ID). It is not linked to you, to any account, or to any contact detail. Against that identifier we store only:

• Your notification (bell) preferences for individual streams
• Which streams you have opened
• Your daily darshan streak and attendance record
• Your app’s notification token, used to deliver alerts
• Your chosen app language

How to delete your data

Step 1 — Uninstall the app. This removes the Device ID from your phone. Once it is gone, none of the records above can be connected to you by us or by anyone else.

Step 2 — To have the records themselves erased from our servers, email hi@askyourguide.ai with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.

If you still have the app installed, please include your Device ID, which you can find and copy from Menu → Settings → Device ID inside the app. Without it we cannot identify which records are yours, because we hold no name or phone number to match against.

We will delete the matching records within 30 days and confirm by reply.

If you used an older version of the app

Versions before 1.9.0 asked for a mobile number to sign in and could store a name, date of birth and order history. If you used one of those versions, email us quoting that mobile number and we will delete the associated profile, notification and activity records.

What is kept

Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify any individual or device — for example, the total number of views for a stream — are retained for service reporting. These contain no Device ID and no personal data, so they cannot be traced back to you.
